Digital India is an umbrella programme that covers multiple Government Ministries and Departments. 
 Digital India aims to provide the much needed thrust to the nine pillars of growth areas, namely Broadband Highways, Universal Access to Mobile Connectivity, Public Internet Access Programme, e-Governance: Reforming Government through Technology. Some of the facilities which will be provided through this initiative are Bharat net, digital locker, e-education, e-health, e-sign, e-shopping and national scholarship portal. As part of Digital India, Indian Government planned to launch Botnet cleaning centers.
​  A CSC is an IT enable front-end delivery points for Government, private and social sector services to rural citizens of India in an integrated and seamless manner.

ଡିଜିଟାଲ୍ ଇଣ୍ଡିଆ ଏକ ବହୁମୁଖୀ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଯାହା ସମସ୍ତ ସରକାରୀ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାଳୟ ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ବିଭାଗକୁ ସଂଯୋଗ କରେ। 
ଡିଜିଟାଲ୍ ଇଣ୍ଡିଆ ବିକାଶ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ନଅଟି ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ, ଯଥା ବ୍ରଡବ୍ୟାଣ୍ଡ ହାଇୱେ, ମୋବାଇଲ୍ ସଂଯୋଗ ପାଇଁ ସାର୍ବଜନୀନ ପ୍ରବେଶ, ସାର୍ବଜନୀନ ଇଣ୍ଟରନେଟ୍ ପ୍ରବେଶ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ, ଇ-ଗଭର୍ଣ୍ଣାନ୍ସ: ପ୍ରଯୁକ୍ତିବିଦ୍ୟା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ସରକାରକୁ ସଂସ୍କାର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବାର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ରଖିଛି। ଏହି ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯିବାକୁ ଥିବା କିଛି ସୁବିଧା ହେଉଛି ଭାରତ ନେଟ୍, ଡିଜିଟାଲ୍ ଲକର୍, ଇ-ଶିକ୍ଷା, ଇ-ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ, ଇ-ସାଇନ୍, ଇ-ସପିଂ ଏବଂ ଜାତୀୟ/ରାଜ୍ୟ  ଛାତ୍ରବୃତ୍ତି ପୋର୍ଟାଲ୍। ଡିଜିଟାଲ୍ ଇଣ୍ଡିଆର ଅଂଶ ଭାବରେ, ଭାରତ ସରକାର ସଂୟୋଗିକରଣ କରି ଏକକିତା ଭାବେ ଡିଜିଟାଲ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବାକୁ ଯୋଜନା କରିଛନ୍ତି। 
​ ଏହି ସାଇ ଡିଜିଟାଲ CSC ହେଉଛି ଏକ ସମନ୍ୱିତ ଏବଂ ସୁଗମ ଭାବରେ ଭାରତର ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ ନାଗରିକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସରକାରୀ, ଘରୋଇ ଏବଂ ସାମାଜିକ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ସେବା ପାଇଁ ଏକ IT ସକ୍ଷମ ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ବିତରଣ ପଏଣ୍ଟ।
